The Java Emporium's Monsoon Malabar Coffee: Single Origin Roast Beans
Monsoon Malabar coffee is a unique and exotic type of coffee that originates from the Malabar coast of India. It is produced by exposing the harvested beans to the moist and windy conditions of the monsoon season, which gives them a distinctive flavour and aroma. Monsoon Malabar coffee is known for its low to medium acidity, medium body, and spicy notes. It is a great choice for espresso lovers who enjoy a smooth and rich brew. If you are looking for a new and exciting coffee experience, try Monsoon Malabar coffee today!. The roast coffee beans come in three sizes: sample(50g), Standard(227g) and Catering (1kg).
The Flavour
Spicy, earthy, smoky, tobacco notes, wood notes, medium body, medium acidity.
The unique process reduces the acidity of the beans and gives them a distinctive flavour profile that is earthy, spicy, smoky and nutty. Monsooned Malabar coffee has a creamy body and a medium acidity, and is often used in espresso blends.
Some people add a bit of sweetener that they say highlights the flavours, not for me but you may like it. Great black or with a drop of milk.
