Our Basic Small Cafetiere, Eco-friendly

Our small 2 cup Cafetiere hold around 350ml of brewed coffee. Enough for one British mug. the 2/3 cup designation reflects the traditional use of espresso cup sizes. We also sell a 800ml version see below.

A Cafetiere is a simple and convenient device that allows you to brew delicious coffee at home. It consists of a heatproof jug with a metal filter attached to a plunger. To use a Cafetiere, add coarsely ground coffee and hot water to the jar, let it steep for a few minutes and then push down the plunger to separate the coffee grounds from the liquid. This way, you can enjoy a rich and full-bodied cup of coffee without pressure or boiling.

A Cafetiere is also versatile, as it can accommodate different roasts and strengths according to your preference. You can also choose from different sizes of Cafetiere depending on how many cups you want to make. How to Use

• Remove the lid. Add the right amount of coarsely ground coffee into the pot.
• Gently stir coffee with a spoon in a circular motion while slowly and evenly pouring hot (not boiling) water.
• Replace the lid to prevent steam from escaping. Let it brew for 3-5 minutes depending on the robustness of flavour you desire. DO NOT push down the plunger yet.
• Slowly lower the plunger to push the grounds to the bottom of the pot.
• Open the lid and pour the brewed coffee into your cup.
